Chris Bovell is the firm's senior partner and was called to the Bar at the Middle Temple, England and to the Jamaican, Barbadian and Trinidadian Bars in 1961. Chris' practice covers all aspects of banking, corporate and commercial law with a specialist practice in mining law. He has represented major mining interests in Jamaica, Governmental institutions and many large Jamaican corporations in relation to their commercial affairs. The breadth of his expertise and experience has qualified him to serve on the Boards of Directors of several major companies including GraceKennedy Limited, FirstCaribbean International Bank  Jamaica limited and the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel. He is also listed as one of the leading lawyers in Jamaica  in this area of practice by Chambers and Partners Global and IFLR 1000. Chris is a Notary Public and a graduate of St. John's College, Cambridge University, England with a Masters Degree in Law. He is a former member of the Jamaican Senate and served for several years as the Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee of the General Legal Council. Chris Bovell is widely known for his experience in Corporate Governance and has given presentations locally and at the Caribbean Commercial Law Workshop. He is also Chairman of Allied Insurance Brokers, Barnett Limited, National Road Operating  and Construction Company Limited (NROCC), the GraceKennedy Corporate Governance Committee and the Chairman of the Corporate Governance Committee of the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica.

Lincoln Eatmon heads the Corporate and Commercial Department of the firm and has been a partner since 1976. Listed as one of the world's leading lawyers in IFLR 1000, his extensive years of practice covers a broad spectrum of areas in commercial and banking law, including security and loan documentation and mergers and acquisitions. Lincoln is a Notary Public and was called to the Bar at Lincoln 's Inn, England and to the Jamaican Bar in 1973. He serves as a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the General Legal Council and is well known for his involvement in the administration of Jamaican athletics. He was the first Vice-President of the Jamaica Amateur Athletic Association 1996-2000 and a member of its Executive Committee for several years. He was the Team Manager of the Jamaican Athletic team in the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Malaysia, the 2004 Athens Olympics, and the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and has been a member of management teams to the World Championships in Athletics in Athens 1997 and Paris 2003. Lincoln is a member of the Kingston Cricket Club and is actively involved with the Calabar Old Boy's Association.

John Leiba, President of the Jamaican Bar Association, has been a practising attorney-at-law in Jamaica since 1973 and a partner in the firm since 1980. He attended the College of Law, London and qualified as a solicitor. With a specialist practice in real estate, John also acts for clients with aviation interests and in other transactions of a commercial nature. He is a Director of Special Olympics Jamaica.

Janice Causwell is head of the Conveyancing Department. She has been a partner since 1980 and a practising attorney-at-law since 1976. Her practice covers the areas of probate and administration, trusts, estate planning, real estate developments and mortgage financing. She has considerable experience in the preparation of security documentation for banks, trust companies, credit unions and building societies, while acting for both individual and corporate clients. Janice has also handled a number of significant transactions in the tourist and hotel industry. A trained solicitor, she is a graduate of the College of Law, London. Janice is a certified Mediator with specialist training in Court connected mediation and is a member of the Conveyancing Committee of the Jamaican Bar Association. She sits on the board of management of the St. Hugh's High School and serves on the advisory board of Roots FM.

John Vassell is a senior member of the firm's team of advocates and has been a partner since 1980. He was called to the Jamaican Bar in 1977 and attained the rank of Queen's Counsel in 1998. He has wide experience and expertise in all areas of civil litigation and a specialist practice in shipping, insurance, defamation and insolvency law. John is a graduate of the University of the West Indies and the Norman Manley Law School where he has been an Associate Tutor since 1981. He has been successful in a number of high profile cases, some of which have received landmark decisions. John is a member of the Libel Law Review Committee .

Enid Chin has been a partner since 1984. A qualified attorney-at-law since 1974, Enid has considerable experience in security documentation for banks and building societies. Enid’s primary areas of practice have been mortgage financing, company law, real estate and estate planning. She is a graduate of the University of the West Indies and the College of Law, London and is an active Kiwanian. Enid is also a trained Alternative Dispute Resolution mediator.

Jerome Lee is the Managing Partner and has been a partner since 1985. With experience and expertise in a broad spectrum of commercial and banking transactions, he also has particular expertise in commercial and banking law covering a broad spectrum of business transactions and has a special interest in international trade. He also has particular expertise in tourist resort and other commercial and residential building developments and project financing. A qualified attorney-at-law since 1978, he is the Chairman of the Commercial Law Sub-Committee of the Jamaican Bar Association. Listed in IFLR 1000 as one of the world's leading lawyers, Jerome is a graduate of the University of the West Indies and the Norman Manley Law School and serves as a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the General Legal Council. He also serves on the Board of Guardian Asset Management Jamaica Limited and is the Vice-President of the Caribbean Association of Industry and Commerce (CAIC).


JANET E. MORRISON

Janet Morrison was called to the Jamaican Bar in 1978 and has been a partner since 1985. Her practice is primarily in the areas of Corporate and Commercial Law.  A graduate of the University of the West Indies and the Norman Manley Law School, she also holds a Masters Degree in Commercial and Corporate Law from the University of the West Indies.  Janet is an executive member of the council of the Jamaican Bar Association serving as the treasurer of the association and has acted as its representative in deliberations before the Jamaican Parliament in the drafting of the Companies Act. Janet has presented at several conferences on Corporate Governance, the new Pensions Act and the Companies Act and has contributed many legal commentaries in the Jamaican press. She  is a member of the Commercial Law Sub-Committee of the Jamaican Bar and is a member of the board of  Rise Life Management Services Limited, a charitable organization.

Margaret Moodie-Jervis' expertise and experience are in the areas of real estate, estate planning, security documentation for building societies and banks, mortgage financing and company law. She was called to the Jamaican Bar in 1979 and has been a partner since 1989. A member of the Boards of Directors of several Jamaican businesses, Margaret is also a graduate of the University of the West Indies and the Norman Manley Law School. She is a member of the Continuing Legal Education Sub-Committee of the Bar and a Director of the Ward Theatre Foundation, of which she is an Honorary Secretary. She has acted for several banks and a major Building Society in Jamaica.

Pauline Findlay was called to the Jamaican Bar in 1981 and became a partner of the firm in 1989. Her primary area of practice is real estate and mining law with a special interest in taxation. A trained Alternative Dispute Resolution mediator certified for the Supreme Court, Pauline serves as a Commissioner on the Public Services Commission of Jamaica. She is a graduate of the University of the West Indies and the Norman Manley Law School. She is a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution, sits on the board of the Jamaica Business Development Centre, Wolmer's Trust and Wolmer's Board of Management and is a director of the Genesis Academy and chairman of the Tourism Enhancement Fund.

Donovan Walker practises in the areas of corporate, commercial and banking law. Maritime, pensions and trusts, international trade, insurance as well as in residential mortgage financing. Julianne Mais-Cox was called to the Jamaican Bar in 1998 and practices as an attorney in the area of civil litigation. A partner since 2004, she has a special interest and expertise in defamation, intellectual property litigation and banking litigation and is a graduate of York University, Canada, the University of the West Indies and the Norman Manley Law School. Julianne is a member of the Justice Commission for the Roman Catholic Church in Jamaica, the Civil Practice and Procedure Sub-Committee of the Jamaican Bar Association and sits on the Labelling Committee of the Jamaica Bureau of Standards.

Courtney Bailey was  called to the Jamaican Bar in 1997 and practises in the area of civil litigation. A partner since 2006 he has a special interest in defamation, medical negligence and commercial litigation. Courtney is a graduate of the University of the West Indies and the Norman Manley Law School. He is a member of the Civil Practice and Procedure Sub-Committee of the Jamaican Bar Association and a volunteer with Hope Worldwide Jamaica. Courtney is also an associate tutor in civil procedure and practice at the Norman Manley Law School.

KIRK B. ANDERSON

Kirk Anderson was called to the Jamaican Bar in 2007 and the Belizean Bar in 1993. A Partner since 2007, Kirk practices in the area of litigation, with particular expertise in criminal law, proceeds of crime and constitutional law. A national of Jamaica and Belize, he has several years experience as an Attorney in private practice and was formerly the Director of Public Prosecutions in Belize. Kirk is a graduate of the University of the West Indies and the Norman Manley Law School. He is a Notary Public in Belize, a part-time tutor in advocacy at the Norman Manley Law School and a member of the Kiwanis Club.

Jermaine Spence was called to the Jamaican Bar in 1998. A graduate of the University of the West Indies and the Norman Manley Law School, Jermaine practices in the areas of civil and commercial litigation. He is a former prosecutor in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions where he was a member of the Money-Laundering and Financial Crimes Unit. Jermaine is a Director of Jamaicans for Justice.
