William D. Panton

William Panton, Barrister, was called to the English Bar in 1977 and admitted to practice as an Attorney-at-Law at the Jamaican Bar in 1989. William is a Partner of the firm and a member of its Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Department.


William is a member of the Inner Temple, London.


William has practiced at the English Bar for over 30 years and has expertise in civil litigation: Employment/Industrial Relations, Family, Commercial, Libel and also Criminal law. William has been a member of and an advocate before Public Inquiries. In 2008/2009 he represented the Claimant in the “Ugly Book” libel trial in the High Court in London. He has successfully represented numerous clients (employers and employees) before Employment Tribunals in the United Kingdom in unfair dismissal, breach of contract, disability discrimination, sex discrimination and race discrimination cases. From 1990-1996, William was employed as the Principal Legal Officer to the Commission for Racial Equality in the United Kingdom, advising on all aspects of Corporate law and Industrial Relations. Since 1996, he has been advisor to one of the United Kingdom’s largest teaching unions, the Association of Teachers and Lecturers, representing members in the Employment Tribunal and Appellate Courts.
